Peonies are a herbaceous perennial plant, native to Asia, Europe and western North America. They have compound, deeply lobed leaves and large, fragrant flowers. Flowering occurs in the late spring through early summer, usually lasting only 7–10 days. Their colors range from white, yellow, red, pink or purple.
