Lilium, also known as lilies, are a herbaceous flowering plant with large prominent flowers. The Flowers have six tepals (the outer three are sepals and the inner three are petals) spreading or reflexed, creating a variety of forms from a funnel shape to a "Turk's cap". The flowers are often fragrant, and come in a wide range of colors including whites, yellows, oranges, pinks, reds and purples. Numerous ornamental hybrids have been developed.
